Josh Be Gone
The Devil Rays finally said goodbye to Josh Hamilton. To his benefit, The Rays allowed him to get his head back on straight before showing him the door. They could have easily said goodbye to him earlier. I thought years ago, they would just cut their losses and turn the page. This is the guy who was drafted before Rocco Baldelli who by major league counts is still pretty young. Had the Rays not have so much depth in the outfield I might be disappointed with the brass shopping Rocco around. If we can find some good pitching for him where his value is pretty as high as its been in a while, I can live with him getting traded. I’ll still follow him and root for him. It was last summer I saw him shagging flies in Durham. He had three doubles that night and looked pretty good.
