I did not realize until I came across this that the Reds new ballpark was more of a hitters park then Coors Field. Wow. Lets see:
Jason Schmidt going from pitchers park to Dodger Stadium which surprisingly now is more of a hitter park.
Jason Marquis going from pitchers park to Wrigley Field which is a hitter park.
Aubrey Huff moves to a park that is more of a pitchers park than Tropicana Field was.

like dude, la is not a hitters park. its always been considered a pitcher friendly park. a big part of why la always has good numbers from their pitching staff.
That’s what I thought until I took a look at the numbers. Dodger Stadium is in the top 1/3 of run producing stadiums. Ranked 10th of 33. My point mainly was that Jason Schmidt now is in a park that will be less favorable for him as a pitcher.
Actually, David, Duane is right.
LA is a pitchers park, Last year’s change was due to the Dodgers scoring more runs and their pitchers being more hittable.
I’d actually blame crappy former Rays pitchers like Joe Beimel, Mark Hendrickson and Danys Baez for a glut of the runs.
My thought is that Dodger Stadium was always a pitchers park before looking at the numbers for last year. To a point, the Rays had some questionable pitchers in their bullpen and such, but that does not account for all pitchers who pitched up in that park giving up the tenth highest number of runs. So, what I am saying is that he Dodger pitchers and their opponents made it look less like a pitchers park last year.
like dude, one year doesn’t make a trend. you need to look at a longer time frame. la has always been a pitchers park.
