Hamilton’s Talent On Display In 4 Hit Night

The first Four Hit Night of Josh Hamilton’s career in the losing effort to the Colorado Rockies last night. The Reds might of tried Josh’s arm out of the bullpen. He pitched in High School reaching the 90s with his fastball. Just ask his catcher from way back when if he can throw the heat:

“The game went extra innings, and they sent Josh down to warm up and sent me down to warm him up. Hell, I didn’t know what this kid was capable of. Not too many people knew about Josh Hamilton at that time. The first pitch he threw to me in the bullpen - I might have still been standing - had to be 92 miles an hour, and I wasn’t ready for it. I didn’t even get a glove on it. It went out onto the field and they had to stop the game to get the ball. I think the game went 16 innings and Josh didn’t give up a single run, and that’s without having thrown a single pitch for at least a full season.

“I later learned how to warm up Josh Hamilton.”
